Six Sentence Sunday

Why oh why does the weekend go by so fast? *Sigh* Well, these days do have their good things, one of them Six Sentence Sunday! Wohoo! Also, this week is going to be fun on my blog because I have several visiting authors and will continue the story I began last Wednesday (you can read it here).

But, back to Sunday and their sentences. I picked today's Six because I wanted to introduce you to the female character of the contemporary fantasy romance I'm finishing up and because I just last night I was walking around that Madrid area. Enjoy!

Victoria pressed her bag closer to her stomach, possessively clutching the tote hanging from her shoulder. She hated walking the streets this late at night, especially on a Friday. The place was filled with drunken people, staggering as they walked from one bar to the next, screaming obscenities or simply out smoking and making a raucous. She loved the city of Madrid but the nighttime scenario was not her thing. She sighed as she stepped over a puddle and squeezed her way between some badly parked motorcycles in the sidewalk. Just a little further and she’d finally reach the one room apartment she’d rented in Tribunal.

 Thank you for visiting!

  2. Eww, I've been out on nights like that. It's horrible. Add a paranormal element and it's even scarier. Great six.

  3. Yep, that would give me the heebie jeebies, too. I've done something like that in St. Petersburg, Russia, and it was spooky. Great six, Elyzabeth. :)
